Employment practices liability insurance (EPLI) is one of the most talked about types of insurance - for a good reason.

EPLI claims are causing devistating financial damages to employers of all sizes.

EPLI covers claims that result from things like:

  • Wrongful termination
  • Failure to hire
  • Failure to promote
  • Sexual Harassment
  • Hostile Work Environment

EPLI may also include a sublimit for wage and hour claims. This sublimit covers attorney costs (up to a specified limit) for claims that result from:

  • Failure to provide lunch breaks
  • Failure to pay overtime

Wage and hour sublimits do not cover restitution to employees.

It's often stated that an EPLI claims costs a minimum of $50k just to get to court. Once the case is taken to court, the amount increases significantly.

Transfer your risk to an insurance carrier. A policy will be tailored to your business.
